HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 07102012 - C.49RECOMMENDATION(S): APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Risk Manager to execute a contract with Risk Management Outsourcing, LLC, in an amount not to exceed $111,000 to provide risk management services on behalf of Contra Costa County for the period effective July 1, 2012 through June 30, 2013. FISCAL IMPACT: Costs for risk management related services are funded through the Internal Service Funds. BACKGROUND: Risk Management Outsourcing, LLP, has the experience and expertise to: 1) develop self-insured workers' compensation and liability premium charges for Departments based on payroll and losses; 2) obtain and organize data for actuarial reviews of the County's self-insurance programs; 3) develop insurance requirements, indemnification and other provisions to protect the County in contracts with Departments; 4) work with Departments and public contracting parties to develop reasonable alternatives to standard form contract insurance requirements; 5) obtain and organize APPROVE OTHER RECOMMENDATION OF CNTY ADMINISTRATOR RECOMMENDATION OF BOARD COMMITTEE Action of Board On: 07/10/2012 APPROVED AS RECOMMENDED OTHER Clerks Notes: VOTE OF SUPERVISORS AYE:John Gioia, District I Supervisor Candace Andersen, District II Supervisor Mary N. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: County will not be able to ensure compliance with risk management and safety information required by state and federal regulatory agencies.
