HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 07102012 - C.47RECOMMENDATION(S): APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the District Attorney, or designee, to execute a contract with five (5) law schools, including full indemnification of each university, in an amount not to exceed $21,000 for summer law clerk services for the period Jun 1, 2012 through August 20, 2012. The participating universities include: The University of California, Hastings College of the Law; The University of California, Berkeley Law School; University of San Francisco, School of Law; Santa Clara University, School of Law; and University of Notre Dame, School of Law. FISCAL IMPACT: The compensation of the Summer Law Clerks is divided equally between the law schools and Contra Costa County. The costs will not exceed $21,000 and will be funded from the department's General Fund allocation. BACKGROUND: The District Attorney wishes to obtain the services of law clerks through the federal work-study program.
