HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 07102012 - C.24RECOMMENDATION(S):
Adopt Position Adjustment Resolution No. 21111 to add two (2) Registered Nurse-Experienced Level (VWXD)
positions at salary level L3H 0400 ($7091.26 - $7903.79) in the Health Services Department.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Upon approval, this action will result in an annual cost of approximately $263,314, including pension costs of
$60,418, and will be funded with Contra Costa Health Plan member premiums and the elimination of two temporary
employees.
BACKGROUND:
Due to an increase in the Medi-Cal enrollment and authorization demands, the Contra Costa Health Plan’s
Authorization and Utilization Management unit has employed the services of two temporary Registered Nurses, each
working about 40 hours per week. Since there is an increasing number of Medi-Cal health plan memberships, there is
an ongoing need for these two positions. Therefore, the Health Services Department is requesting to add two
permanent registered nurse positions.
