HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 05222012 - C.73RECOMMENDATION(S): ADOPT Resolution No. 2012/234 to amend the establishing and governing resolution of the Rodeo Municipal Advisory Council (RMAC) to assign the membership selection responsibility to the District V Supervisor. FISCAL IMPACT: No fiscal impact to the County associated with this action. BACKGROUND: Effective September 9, 2011, the Board of Supervisors approved new supervisorial district boundaries. This action resulted in the Rodeo Municipal Advisory Council (RMAC) moving from District II to District V. Item 3. of the establishing resolution currently states that the District II Supervisor is responsible for nominating the members of the RMAC. Resolution 2012/234 corrects Item 3. to assign that responsibility to the District V Supervisor. Membership is amended to read as follows: The Council shall consist of seven (7) members, who shall reside in Rodeo or be regularly employed by a business entity in Rodeo and who shall be selected and appointed by the Board of Supervisors, upon nomination by the District V Supervisor. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: The establishing resolution will continue to state that the District II Supervisor, rather than the District V Supervisor, shall select and appoint members to the Rodeo Municipal Advisory Council (RMAC).
