APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the submittal of the Contra Costa County Area Agency on Aging 2012-2016 Four
Year Area Plan for Aging and Adult services to the State and AUTHORIZE the Chair, Board of Supervisors, to sign
the Letter of Transmittal.
FISCAL IMPACT:
None. To secure future funding, the State must receive and approve the Contra Costa County Area Agency on Aging
2012-2016 Four-Year Area Plan.
BACKGROUND:
The Area Agency on Aging (AAA) is required by the State to develop and submit a comprehensive four-year plan
(plan) to the State to receive funding. The State will determine funding levels and inform the local areas based on the
local plans.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
Without submission of the Area Agency on Aging Four-Year Area Plan, future State funding would be impacted.
