Approve and authorize the Health Services Director or his designee, to execute, on behalf of the County, Contract
Amendment Agreement #76-504-8 with Peter Won, M.D., a self-employed individual, effective April 1, 2012, to
amend Contract #76-504-7, to increase the total Contract Payment limit by $45,000, from $1,470,000 to a new total
not to exceed $1,515,000, with no change in the original term of June 1, 2011 through May 31, 2014.
FISCAL IMPACT:
This amendment is funded 100% by Enterprise Fund I. Costs depend upon utilization. As appropriate, patients and/or
third-party payors will be billed for services. (No rate increase)
BACKGROUND:
On May 17, 2011, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #76-504-7with Peter Won, M.D. to provide radiology
services including consultation, on-call coverage services, supervision and interpretation of CT Scan, MRI,
Ultrasound, invasive procedures and plain films at Contra Costa Regional Medical Center and Contra Costa Health
Centers, for the period from June 1, 2011

BACKGROUND: (CONT'D)
through May 31, 2014.
At the time of negotiations, the payment limit was based on target levels of utilization. However, the utilization
during the term of the agreement was higher than originally anticipated.
Approval of Contract Amendment Agreement #76-504-8 will allow the Contractor to provide additional services
through May 31, 2014.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
If this contract is not approved, Contractor will not be paid and patients requiring these medical services at Contra
Costa Regional Medical and Contra Costa Health Centers would go untreated.
