APPROVE Appropriations Adjustment No.5064 authorizing the transfer of appropriations in the amount of $46,266
from Sheriff Detention (0300) to General Services - ISF Fleet Services (0064) for the purchase of a current year Ford
Crown Victoria Police Vehicle, which is needed to support the AB109 program.
FISCAL IMPACT:
This action increases appropriations in General Services - ISF Fleet Services (0064) and reduces appropriations in the
Office of the Sheriff - Detention unit (0300) by $46,266.
BACKGROUND:
The California Legislature passed the Public Safety Realignment Act (Assembly Bill 109), which transfers
responsibility for supervising specific low-level inmates and parolees from the California Department of Corrections
and Rehabilitation (CDCR) to counties. Assembly Bill 109 (AB 109) took effect October 1, 2011.
With the implementation of AB109 the Office of the Sheriff - Detention unit will be adding
