HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 05222012 - C.38RECOMMENDATION(S): APPROVE Appropriations Adjustment No.5064 authorizing the transfer of appropriations in the amount of $46,266 from Sheriff Detention (0300) to General Services - ISF Fleet Services (0064) for the purchase of a current year Ford Crown Victoria Police Vehicle, which is needed to support the AB109 program. FISCAL IMPACT: This action increases appropriations in General Services - ISF Fleet Services (0064) and reduces appropriations in the Office of the Sheriff - Detention unit (0300) by $46,266. BACKGROUND: The California Legislature passed the Public Safety Realignment Act (Assembly Bill 109), which transfers responsibility for supervising specific low-level inmates and parolees from the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) to counties. Assembly Bill 109 (AB 109) took effect October 1, 2011.
