HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 05222012 - C.35RECOMMENDATION(S): ACCEPT the resignation of Nancy Dommes from the Appointee 4 Seat of the Alamo Municipal Advisory Council effective immediately; DECLARE a vacancy on the County Service Area P-2B Citizens Advisory Committee; and DIRECT the Clerk of the Board to post the vacancy, as recommended by Supervisor Uilkema. FISCAL IMPACT: None. BACKGROUND: The Alamo MAC may advise the Board of Supervisors on services that are or may be provided to the Alamo community by Contra Costa County or other local government agencies. Such services include, but are not limited to, parks and recreation, lighting and landscaping, public health, safety, welfare, public works, code enforcement, land use and planning, transportation and other infrastructure. The Council may also provide input and reports to the District Supervisor, Board of Supervisors, County staff or any County hearing body on issues of concern to the community. The Council may also represent the Alamo community before the Local Agency Formation Commission on proposed boundary changes effecting the community. The Council may advocate on parks and recreation issues to the Town of Danville and the San Ramon Valley Unified School District. In September 2011, as a result of redistricting, the Alamo MAC fell within District 2 Supervisorial boundaries. Ms. Dommes submitted her resignation, effective immediately. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: The seat will remain filled, without the appointee attending meetings. CHILDREN'S IMPACT STATEMENT: None.
