APPROVE the Quitclaim Deed of Road Right of Way located at the northwest corner of Mt Diablo Boulevard and
Mt Diablo Court to the City of Lafayette pursuant to Streets and Highway Code 960. Project No.: 4500 6X3101.
DETERMINE that the project is exempt from the requirements of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA)
pursuant to Article 5, Section 15061 (b) (3) of the State CEQA Guidelines.
DIRECT the Director of the Department of Conservation and Development (DCD) to file a Notice of Exemption with
the County Clerk.
DIRECT the Public Works Director to arrange for payment of a $50.00 handling fee to the County Clerk for filing
and a $25.00 fee to DCD for processing of the Notice of Exemption. This activity has been found to conform to the
General Plan of the City of Lafayette.
AUTHORIZE the Chair, Board of Supervisors, to execute the Quitclaim Deed on behalf of the County.
DIRECT the Real Property Division of the Public Works Department to cause said Quitclaim Deed to be delivered to
the City for acceptance and recording

FISCAL IMPACT:
Funding is 100% from the City of Lafayette.
BACKGROUND:
The City of Lafayette (City) requested Contra Costa County (County) to quitclaim its interest to former road right
of way located at the northwest corner of Mt Diablo Boulevard and Mt Diablo Court (Property). The County may
or may not have any interest to the Property. For the City to have clear title to the Property, they are asking the
County to clear any interest it may have to the Property.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
The City will not have clear title to the Property.
