HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 05152012 - C.69RECOMMENDATION(S):
Authorize the Chair of the Board of Supervisors to sign the attached County Subvention Program Certificates of
Compliance for the County Subvention and Medi-Cal Cost Avoidance Programs as administered by the California
Department of Veterans Affairs (CDVA).
FISCAL IMPACT:
The submission of these documents to CDVA allows the County to receive Subvention and Medi-Cal Cost Avoidance
revenue for the 2011-2012 fiscal year, decreasing dependence on the County General Fund. For FY 2008-2009, the
County received $78,683 in Subvention and $10,420 in Medi-Cal Cost Avoidance and in 2009-2010 $76,965 and
$4,461 was received, respectively, per the Military and Veterans Code of California, sections 972, 972.1 and 972.5. It
is anticipated that FY 2011-2012 revenue will be consistent with revenue received in prior years.
BACKGROUND:
CDVA administers the above two revenue programs per California Code of Regulations, Title 12, Subchapter 4.
CDVA conducts annual audits of our operation to determine if our workload is consistent with reported workload
activity.
