HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 05152012 - C.51RECOMMENDATION(S): Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute, on behalf of the County, Contract #24–807–6 with Staff Care, Inc., a corporation, in an amount not to exceed $225,600, to provide temporary psychiatric physician services, for the period from May 1, 2012 through April 30, 2013. FISCAL IMPACT: This Contract is funded 100% by Mental Health Realignment. (Rate increases) BACKGROUND: For several years, the County has contracted with registries to provide temporary licensed personnel to assist during peak loads, temporary absences, and emergency situations. BACKGROUND: (CONT'D) of County-employed psychiatrist. Approval of Contract #24–807–6 will allow the Contractor to continue providing services through April 30, 2012, including modification to County’s standard insurance and indemnification language. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: If this contract is not approved, County’s clients will not have appropriate psychiatric coverage while County employed physicians are on vacation, sick leave and extended leave.
