HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 05152012 - C.48RECOMMENDATION(S): Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute, on behalf of the County, Contract #26-691-1 with Brighter Beginnings, a non-profit corporation, in an amount not to exceed $215,000, to provide consultation and technical assistance with regard to lactation support services including breastfeeding education and support services for patients at Contra Costa Regional Medical Center and Contra Costa Health Centers, for the period from April 1, 2012, through June 30, 2014. FISCAL IMPACT: This Contract is funded 100% by Enterprise Fund I. Approval of Contract #26-691-1 will allow Contractor to continue providing services through June 30, 2014. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: If this contract is not approved, patients will not receive consultation and technical assistance with regard to lactation support services, including breastfeeding, education, and support services will not be provide from this Contractor at Contra Costa Regional Medical Center and Health Centers.
