Uilkema: Richard Jacobon Alamo, CA 94507 DECLARE a vacancy on the County Service Area P-5 Citizens Advisory Committee and DIRECT the Clerk of the Board to apply the Board's policy for filling the vacancy. FISCAL IMPACT: None. Uilkema, District II Supervisor Date:May 15, 2012 Contra Costa County Subject:RESIGNATION FROM THE COUNTY SERVICE AREA P-5 CITIZENS ADVISORY COMMITTEE BACKGROUND: (CONT'D) of the County Service Area P-5 Citizen Advisory Committee is to act as a liaison between the citizens of the P-5 Police District and the Office of the Sheriff of Contra Costa County by: Advising the Board of Supervisors and the Office of the Sheriff of the community's needs and desires regarding police protection; Promoting public safety in the areas of home safety, traffic safety, vacation security and crime prevention through the neighborhood watch program; and maintaining oversight of expenditures of the public funds accruing in the P-5 Police District. According to the District 3 Supervisorial staff, Mr. Jacobson resigned from the CSA P-5 CAC prior to redistricting, which occurred in September of 2011. He has not attended any meetings in the last seven months. Supervisor Uilkema has attempted to contact Mr. Jacobson via email, which have remained unanswered. The last phone number of record has been disconnected. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: The term will remain filled, without the benefit of the appointee attending meetings. CHILDREN'S IMPACT STATEMENT: Not applicable.
