Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute, on behalf of the County, Contract
Amendment Agreement #26-671-2 with Precyse Solutions, LLC, a limited liability company, effective March 1,
2012, to amend Contract #26-671-1 to modify the Service Plan and the Payment Provisions with no change in the
original payment limit of $490,000 and no change in the original term of June 1, 2011 through May 31, 2012.
FISCAL IMPACT:
This amendment will reflect an additional rate for Oncology interim management services at Contra Costa Regional
Medical Center. This amendment is funded 100% by Enterprise Fund I. (an additional rate added)
BACKGROUND:
On June 28, 2011, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #26-671-1 with Precyse Solutions, LLC to provide
temporary medical coding services for Contra Costa Regional Medical Center and Contra Costa Health Centers
including, but not limited to coding of approximately 13,000 inpatient discharges, scanning records and entry of
codes into the County’s software system,

and providing a certified Tumor Registrar, for the period from June 1, 2011 through May 31, 2012. Contract
#26-671-1 included modifications to the Standard General Conditions, Paragraph 5, Cancellation, Paragraph 2.
Dispute, Paragraph 18. Indemnification, and Paragraph 19, Insurance of the special conditions.
Approval Contract Amendment Agreement #26-671-2 will allow the Contractor to provide an additional level of
services to include Oncology interim management services through May 31, 2012.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
If this amendment is not approved, County will not receive Oncology interim management services provided by this
vendor under this Contract.
