HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 05082012 - C.77RECOMMENDATION(S): Approve and authorize the Purchasing Agent, on behalf of the Health Services Department, to execute a Purchase Order with Allsteel, in an amount not to exceed $300,000, for office furniture for the new West County Health Clinic. FISCAL IMPACT: 100% Enterprise Fund I. BACKGROUND: The new West County Health Clinic will serve the health care needs of west county residents HSD needs to order approximately 34 break room, consulting room, work, group room, and conference room tables, 293 break room, office, group room, conference room, task chairs and stools, 16 counters, 5 cabinets, additional furniture for 14 offices, 55 work stations, 3 additional desks and miscellaneous items, for a total of 458 pieces. The county has a contract with Allsteel, which will provide tremendous savings. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: If this Purchase Order is not approved, the new West County Clinic will not have necessary furniture. CHILDREN'S IMPACT STATEMENT: Not applicable.
