HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 05082012 - C.62RECOMMENDATION(S): Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute, on behalf of the County, Contract Amendment Agreement #24-681-84(7) with United Family Care, LLC (dba Family Courtyard), a limited liability company, effective March 1, 2012, to amend Contract #24-681-84(6), to increase the payment limit by $93,000, from $178,560 to a new payment limit of $271,560, with no change in the original term of December 1, 2011 through November 30, 2012. FISCAL IMPACT: This amendment is funded 100% by Mental Health Realignment funds. (Rate increase) BACKGROUND: This Contract meets the social needs of the County's population in that it provides augmentation of room and board, and twenty-four hour emergency residential care and supervision to eligible mentally disordered clients, who are specifically referred by the Mental Health Program Staff and who are served by County Mental Health Services. Due to the closure of the two board and care homes in January and February 2012. Contractor has agreed to provide additional (24) twenty-four hour emergency residential care and supervision services to eligible mentally disordered client. Approval of Contract Amendment Agreement #24-681-84(7) will allow the Contractor to provide additional (24) twenty-four hour emergency residential care and supervision services through November 30, 2012. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: If this amendment is not approved clients will not be placed and additional services will not be provided by this contractor. CHILDREN'S IMPACT STATEMENT: NOT APPLICABLE.
