ADOPT Position Adjustment Resolution No. 21080 to increase the hours of one Board of Supervisors Assistant -
General Secretary position (unrepresented) from 24/40 to 40/40 in the District IV Board of Supervisors Office.
(100% General Fund)
FISCAL IMPACT:
Upon approval, this action will result in an annual General Fund cost of approximately $22,594, including pension
costs of $5,030.
BACKGROUND:
Since 2003, District IV has directed funding to early intervention and prevention programs that reduce high cost
crisis/safety net services. The mission was to:
"....invest in program and services that are results-based, family-oriented, collaborative, and available at critical
points in the lives of children and families, thereby improving family functioning and reducing the high costs of
dependency."
As part of this mission, District IV has had one 0.60 FTE dedicated to the community in the Monument Corridor. As

BACKGROUND: (CONT'D)
of this community continue to grow, District IV has recognized the need to increase this position from an 0.60
FTE to an 1.0 FTE.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
District IV will be unable to have a full-time staff person dedicated to the Monument Community and will have to
reduce the time spent addressing the needs of that community.
CHILDREN'S IMPACT STATEMENT:
No Impact.
CLERK'S ADDENDUM
Upon processing of this request, it was discovered that position #2472 was already 40/40 but District IV only
had funding for 24/40. No action was required to increase the hours of the position. Effective 7-1-12 funding
will be available to fill the position at 40/40.
