Adopt Position Adjustment Resolution No. 21087 to add one Mental Health Clinical Specialist - Project position
(VQS2) at salary level QT2 1362 ($4240.14 - 6294.51) and add one 20/40 Mental Health Community Support
Worker I - Project position (VQW7) at salary level QT5 0875 ($2541.11 - 3088.73) in the Health Services
Department.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Upon approval, this action will result in an annual cost of approximately $164,545, inlcuding pension costs of
$33,993, and will be funded through the Mental Health Services Act.
BACKGROUND:
These positions are needed to staff the Innovation Plan for Trauma Focused Services - - a project funded through the
Mental Health Services Act. The Mental Health Clinical Specialist position is needed to lead trauma therapy groups,
provide individual counseling, and act as a case manager for group participants. This position will also provide peer
provider training and consultation about working with cleints with post traumatic stress disorder. The Mental Health
Community Support Worker I position will be responsible for providing peer support to the participants in the trauma
therapy groups.
