FISCAL IMPACT: Upon approval, this action will result in an annual cost of approximately $66,339.33, including pension costs of $12,848.91, and will be funded with Contra Costa Health Plan member premiums and the elimination of a temporary employee. BACKGROUND: The Provider Relations and Credentialing unit of the Contra Costa Health Plan (CCHP) has identified an ongoing need for secretarial support for the contracting, credentialing, and facility review activities of providers. A temporary secretary has been utilized to address the increasing amount of support needed by this unit. However, due to a continuing increase of Seniors and Persons with Disabilities members, a long-term solution is needed. Therefore, the Health Services Department is requesting to add one Secretary-Journey Level position.
