HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 05082012 - C.08RECOMMENDATION(S): APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Chair Board of Supervisors to execute the Grant of Easement between Contra Costa County and the Contra Costa Water District, covering a portion of Assessor’s Parcel Number 161-261-002 located at 4639 Pacheco Blvd., Pacheco, in connection with the rehabilitated “Old Discovery House” for the new Residential Facility for the Homeless, pursuant to Government Code Section 25526.6, and DETERMINE that the conveyance of said easement is in the public interest and will not substantially conflict or interfere with Contra Costa County’s use of the property. DIRECT the Real Property Division of the Public Works Department to deliver a certified copy of this Board Order and the Grant of Easement to the Contra Costa Water District for acceptance and recording in the office of the County Recorder. FISCAL IMPACT: There is no fiscal impact. Bueren, Public Works Director/Chief Engineer Date:May 8, 2012 Contra Costa County Subject:APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Conveyance of a Grant of Easement to Contra Costa Water District BACKGROUND: Contra Costa Water District requires an easement to access, operate, and maintain the water meter and reduced pressure back flow prevention device serving the new Residential Facility for the Homeless at 4639 Pacheco Blvd., Pacheco. The easement will be located within Assessor’s Parcel Number 161-261-002 and will have an area of approximately 32 square feet. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: The Contra Costa Water District would not install the new meter and reduced pressure back flow prevention device and therefore the new Residential Facility for the Homeless would not have water service and could not open.
