SUBJECT: Transfer of Petty -Cash Responsibility
Specific Requests or Recommendations & Background & Justification
I. RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Transfer responsibility for petty cash funds from the Public Works 'Department to the
General Services Department in the amount of $205.
II. FINANCIAL IMPACT:
Petty cash under Public Works Department control is reduced by $205 to a new total of
$275. General Services is increased by $205.
III. REASONS FOR RECOMMENDATION/BACKGROUND:
On October 1, 1985, the Garage, Building Maintenance Shop and the Architectural
Divisions of the then Public Works Department were made part of the new General
Services Department. Upon direction of the County Auditor' s Office , it is appropriate
to transfer responsibility for their petty cash funds to the new General. Services
Department.
