ACCEPT the 2010 Annual Report from the Pacheco Municipal Advisory Council.
FISCAL IMPACT:
None.
BACKGROUND:
On June 18, 2002, the Board of Supervisors adopted Resolution No. 2002/377, which
requires that each regular and ongoing board, commission, or committee shall annually
report to the Board of Supervisors on its activities, accomplishments, membership
attendance, required training/certification (if any), and proposed work plan or objectives for
the following year, on the second Tuesday in December. The submission of this report
fulfills the requirement for the Pacheco Municipal Advisory Council. 2010 Annual Report
The Pacheco Municipal Advisory Council wishes to present our report of accomplishments
for calendar year 2010 and goals and objectives for 2011.

BACKGROUND: (CONT'D)
2010 Accomplishments:
Monthly meetings continued to be held in accordance with Brown Act rules and all
members continued regular attendance.
The Pacheco Municipal Advisory Council (PMAC) continued to act as the community
liaison to the Contra Costa County Sheriff’s Office, California Highway Patrol,
Buchanan Airport, Contra Costa Board of Supervisors, Community Watch, and the
Pacheco Town Council. Representatives of these entities attended monthly meetings
and reported on pertinent issues and received public questions and comments.
As part of the beautification efforts the PMAC continued to receive monthly updates
from County Public Works staff regarding progress on the landscaping of the medians
on Pacheco Boulevard and the Pacheco Creekside Park.
The Council continued to lend its support to individual citizens who brought concerns,
questions and suggestions to the meetings, including:
Speeding on Aspen Drive
Graffiti on a Public Storage business
Plans to create a community garden on private property
Noise complaints regarding the helicopter school at Buchanan Airport
2011 Goals and Objectives:
Completion of phase II of the Pacheco Creekside Park.
Continued advocacy for the needs on Pacheco residents and businesses.
Recruit new members to the Council as vacancies allow.
Continue to support and advocate as appropriate the endeavors of the Pacheco Town
Council.
Continue to work with the County Public Works staff to secure additional funding for
the completion of phase III of the Pacheco Creekside Park.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
The Pacheco Municipal Advisory Council will not be in compliance with Board Resolution
No. 2002/377, which requires the submission of an annual report to the Board of
Supervisors.
