HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 07122011 - C.85RECOMMENDATION(S): Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute, on behalf of the County, Contract #25–042–18 with Greater Richmond Inter-Faith Program, a non-profit corporation, in an amount not to exceed $1,786,452, to provide respite and emergency shelter program services for adults, for the period from July 1, 2011 through June 30, 2012. FISCAL IMPACT: This Contract is funded 44% by Federal funds, including Federal Emergency Management Administration (FEMA), Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) - Housing and Urban Development (HUD), Emergency Shelter Grant (FESG), Veterans Administration (VA), Substance Abuse/Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), Community Development Block Grants (CDBG), and Health Resources Services Administration (HRSA); 34% by State funds, including Prop 63/Mental Health Services Act (MHSA); 10% by Contra Costa County Agencies, including Contra Costa Employment and Human Services Department, Housing Authority of Contra Costa County, and Contra Costa Regional Medical Center; and 12% by Local Agencies, including Doctors Hospital, Sutter Delta, and John Muir Medical Center. On August 3, 2010, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #25–042–16 (as amended by Contract Amendment Agreement #25–042–17) with Greater Richmond Inter-Faith Program for the period from July 1, 2010 through June 30, 2011, for the provision of emergency shelter services. Approval of Contract #25–042–18 will allow the Contractor to continue providing services through June 30, 2012. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: If this contract is not approved, County’s homeless clients will not receive shelter and respite services. CHILDREN'S IMPACT STATEMENT: Not Applicable
