HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 04242012 - C.57RECOMMENDATION(S): Adopt Position Adjustment Resolution #21078, to add one Public Health Program Specialist I (VBSD) position at salary level ZA5 1602 ($5,076-$6,170) and cancel a vacant Developmental Program Supervisor position (#7587) in the Health Services Department. FISCAL IMPACT: Upon approval, this action will result in an annual cost of $7,589.43, with an annual increase of $861.43 in pension costs, and will be completely offset by Ryan White Part A funds and AIDS Prevention Program funds. There is no net County cost associated with this request. BACKGROUND: The Health Services Department is requesting the addition of this position in order to meet the staffing requirements in the AIDS Program. The Program has experienced additional growth recently and as such has received additional funding to fund that growth. The Department has evaluated the duties associated with this position and has determined that this is the appropriate classification. The Developmental Program Supervisor position is vacant and is no longer needed. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: If this action is not approved, the AIDS Program will not be able effectively manage the additional growth that the Program has experienced and as such, will not be able to provide much needed health related services to HIV/AIDS patients in Contra Costa Costa.
