HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 04242012 - C.56RECOMMENDATION(S):
Adopt Position Adjustment Resolution No. 21077 to add one (1) Registered Nurse-Experienced Level (VWXD)
position at salary level L3H 0400 ($7091.26 - $7903.79) in the Health Services Department.
FISCAL IMPACT:
There is an annual cost of approximately $138,223.80, including pension costs of $30,208.76, which is offset by
CCHP member premiums and the elimination of a temporary employee.
BACKGROUND:
The Health Services Department is requesting to add one Registered Nurse-Experienced Level position to support the
Contra Costa Health Plan (CCHP) Quality Management Unit. Due to the influx of CCHP members, specifically
Seniors and Persons with Disabilities (SPDs) and Medi-Cal patients, the Quality Management unit is seeing an
increase in quality care grievances and appeals. The knowledge and expertise of a registered nurse is needed to
review the clinical aspects of these grievances and appeals.
