BACKGROUND: In 1982 the Board of Supervisors established the Family and Children's Trust (FACT) Committee to make recommendations regarding the allocation of funds for the prevention and intervention services to reduce child abuse and neglect, provide support services for families with children, and promote a more coordinated seamless system of services. Ms. Miller continues to provide exemplary service to the committee and remains dedicated to its goals and mission. She is currently serving as Chair of FACT. Supervisor Uilkema would like her to continue on for another term. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: Ms. Miller's seat will remain expired. CHILDREN'S IMPACT STATEMENT: Not applicable.
