HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 04172012 - C.85RECOMMENDATION(S): APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Purchasing Agent, or designee, to execute a third party lease agreement, on behalf of the Chief Information Officer, with IBM Global Finance in an amount not to exceed $158,331, for computer equipment for the period May 1, 2012 through April 30, 2015. FISCAL IMPACT: $158,331 over three years. Payments are made in six installments with an annual interest rate of 2.14%. Payments will be made by the Information Technology department from user fees charged to departments using systems financed by this lease agreement. BACKGROUND: The Department of Information Technology requested financing for technology equipment. DOIT is purchasing servers, software licenses, and support from Graybar, Dell, SSP Data, Network Guys, and CDW-G. Purchasing Services has arranged financing through IBM Global Finance (IBM Credit LLC.) for this lease/purchase.
