HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 04172012 - C.73RECOMMENDATION(S): Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute, on behalf of the County, Contract Amendment Agreement #26-347-19 with Medstaff, Inc. (dba Medstaff Healthcare Solutions), a corporation, effective February 1, 2012, to amend Contract #26-347-18, to increase the payment limit by $60,000, from $200,000 to a new payment limit of $260,000, with no change in the original term of May 1, 2011 through April 30, 2012. FISCAL IMPACT: This Amendment is funded 100% by Enterprise I Funds. No rate increase. BACKGROUND: On May 24, 2011, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #26-347-18 with Medstaff, Inc. for the period from May 1, 2011 through April 30, 2012, for the provision of temporary nursing, therapy, pharmacy, and radiology services for Contra Costa Regional Medical Center and Contra Costa Health Centers. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: If this contract is not approved, Contra Costa Regional Medical and Contra Costa Health Centers would not have appropriate temporary nursing, therapy, pharmacy, and radiology staff to cover specified peak loads, temporary absences, or emergency situations.
