HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 04172012 - C.59RECOMMENDATION(S): Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute, on behalf of the County, Contract Amendment Agreement #74-286-7 with Crestwood Behavioral Health, Inc., a corporation, effective November 1, 2011, to amend Contract #74-286-5, to increase the payment limit by $131,507, from $1,035,078 to a new payment limit of $1,166,585, with no change in the original term of January 1, 2011 through December 31, 2011. FISCAL IMPACT: This amendment is funded 50% by Federal Medi-Cal, 25% by State Mental Health Services Administration, and 25% by Mental Health Realignment. (No rate increase) BACKGROUND: This Contract meets the social needs of County’s population by providing transitional residential treatment, rehabilitative services, medication support, and mental health services to severely and persistently mentally ill (SPMI) adult clients at its Crestwood Healing Center. On March 15, 2011, the BACKGROUND: (CONT'D) Board of Supervisors approved Contract #74-286-5 with Crestwood Behavioral Health, Inc. for the period from January 1, 2011 through December 31, 2011, for the provision of day treatment and mental health services to SPMI adults. Approval of Contract Amendment Agreement #74-286-7 will allow the County to reimburse Contractor for additional services, provided in good faith, due to higher than anticipated utilization, through December 31, 2011. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: If this amendment is not approved, Contractor will not be paid for services rendered in good faith for the treatment of County’s SPMI clients.
