FISCAL IMPACT: This Contract is funded 100% by Enterprise Fund I. BACKGROUND: The State of California mandates Hospitals to provide a hearing screen to all newborns. Since 2008, CCRMC has been part of the Universal Hearing Screen Program and all post-partum and nursery nurses have been trained to perform hearing screens. However this program has proven to be very time consuming for the nurses. Services provided by this Contractor would be more cost effective and allow CCRMC nurses to spend more valuable time with their patients.
