APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the County Librarian, or designee, to apply for and accept a
grant from the San Francisco Foundation/Koshland Grant in an amount not to exceed $3,000
to for arts and cultural programs at the San Pablo Library for the period August 1, 2012
through May 30, 2013.
FISCAL IMPACT:
$3,000 in revenue, No Library Fund match. Budgeted.
BACKGROUND:
Every year The San Francisco Foundation's Arts and Culture program collaborates with the
Koshland Civic Unity Program to award arts mini-grants of up to $3,000 to support free,
community-based artistic and cultural activities.
The San Pablo Library will utilize grant funds to offer a 10 month series of free arts and
cultural events: arts enrichment assemblies at San Pablo schools, cultural performances at
the library, and arts education activities at
