ADOPT Position Adjustment Request No. 21069 to adjust the salary step of the incumbent
at position # 2489 in the classification of Board of Supervisors Assistant – General
Secretary – Exempt (J993) from step four (4) to step five (5) of salary level B85 1406
($4,180.68 - $5,081.65) effective April 1, 2012 in the Board of Supervisor’s District III
Office.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Upon approval, this action will result in an annual cost of approximately $4,000, including
pension costs of $890 and is within the District III’s budget due to current salary savings.
BACKGROUND:
Due to redistricting and the increase in travel and workload, this employee has performed in
an exemplary manner and assumed additional duties and responsibilities and has enabled
the District III office to operate efficiently and effectively. There is a need to recognize the
efforts of the work being performed by this individual and to appropriately compensate
them. Merit step increase shall be provided to one employee moving them on the merit step
range from step four to step five in the classification of Board of Supervisors Assistant –
