HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 03272012 - C.89RECOMMENDATION(S): Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute, on behalf of the County, Contract Amendment Agreement #26-688-2 with Shahid Rehman, M.D., a self-employed individual, effective January 1, 2012, to amend Contract #26-688, to increase the payment limit by $2,400, from $160,000 to a new payment limit of $162,400 with no change in the original term of February 1, 2011 through January 31, 2013. FISCAL IMPACT: This amendment is funded 100% by Enterprise Fund I. (No rate increase) BACKGROUND: On January 25, 2011, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #26-688 with Shahid Rehman, M.D., for the period from February 1, 2011 through January 31, 2013, for the provision of neurology services including consultation, training and on-call services at Contra Costa Regional Medical Center and Contra Costa Health Centers. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: If this amendment is not approved, patients requiring these medical services at Contra Costa Regional Medical and Contra Costa Health Centers would experience longer wait times and possibly go untreated.
