HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 03272012 - C.82RECOMMENDATION(S): Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute, on behalf of the County, Contract Amendment Agreement #23-051-10 with Neighborhood House of North Richmond, a non-profit corporation, effective March 1, 2012, to amend Contract #23-051-9, to increase the payment limit by $17,672, from $120,675 to a new payment limit of $138,347, with no change in the original term of July 1, 2011 through June 30, 2012. FISCAL IMPACT: This amendment is funded 100% by Federal Substance Abuse/Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA). (No rate increase) BACKGROUND: This Contract meets the social needs of County’s population by providing SAMHSA-required alcohol and drug abuse treatment services, including residential treatment, intensive day treatment, and detoxification services to homeless individuals at Brookside Shelter. Approval of Contract Amendment Agreement #25-051-10 will allow the Contractor to provide additional treatment services through June 30, 2012. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: If this amendment is not approved, Contractor will not be able to meet the demand for substance abuse treatment services for homeless individuals at Brookside Shelter.
