APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Employment and Human Services Director, or designee,
to execute a contract amendment with STAND! For Families Free of Violence to increase
the payment limit by $6,000 to a new payment limit not to exceed $239,000 for community
defined solutions to violence against women, for the period September 1, 2010 through
August 31, 2012.
FISCAL IMPACT:
$239,000: 100% Federal Funds (CFDA 16.59)
BACKGROUND:
The Zero Tolerance for Domestic Violence Initiative (ZTDVI) received funds from the
Department of Justice, Office on Violence against Women, Community-Defined Solutions
to Violence Against Women Project. The ZTDVI is engaging the Contractor to assist in
carrying out activities consistent with the funding application.
The primary purpose of the Zero Tolerance for Domestic Violence, Community-Defined

and strengthen effective responses to violence against women. This amendment extends
Contractor's responsibilities to include providing a more robust and comprehsensive victim
advocacy and support services.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
Employment and Human Services cannot provided the added services.
