APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Employment and Human Services Director, or
designnee, to execute contracts with Mt. Diablo Adult Education for outreach and training
of California Work Opportunity and Responsibility to Kids (CalWORKs) clients for the
term March 1, 2012 through June 30, 2012 in the amount set forth below and authorize a
mutual indemnification clause in both contracts.

FISCAL IMPACT:
$112,965: 100% CalWORks Single Allocation funds
BACKGROUND:
Contracts will be issued to Mt. Diablo Adult Education to provide outreach and training to
CalWORKs clients. Mt. Diablo Adult Education requires mutual indemnificaiton.
Therefore, this Board Order serves to receive board approval for these contracts to be
written with mutual indemnification clauses.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
Employment and Human Services Department will be unable to provide these services to
CalWORKs clients.
