HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 03272012 - C.60RECOMMENDATION(S): Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute, on behalf of the County, Standard Agreement #24–760–23 with the State Department of Rehabilitation, to pay the County an amount not to exceed $4,204,719, to provide vocational rehabilitation services for individuals with psychiatric disorders, for period from July 1, 2012 through June 30, 2015. FISCAL IMPACT: Approval of this Agreement will continue funding by the State Department of Rehabilitation for fiscal years 2012/2013, 2013/2014, 2014/2015. No County match required. BACKGROUND: On July 21, 2009, the Board of Supervisors approved Standard Agreement #24-760-19 (as amended by Standard (Amendment) Agreements #24-760-20 through #24-760-22) with the State Department of Rehabilitation, to pay the County to provide vocational rehabilitation services for individuals with psychiatric disorders for the period from July 1, 2009 through June 30, 2012. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: If this agreement is not approved, County will not receive funding to support skills development, career counseling, coaching in job application skills, job development and placement, and follow-up services for residents with psychiatric disorders.
