(Districts’ I & V) FISCAL IMPACT: No Fiscal Impact. BACKGROUND: The I-80 Integrated Corridor Mobility Project encompasses an approximately 20 mile segment of Interstate 80 from Crockett in Contra Costa County to Emeryville in Alameda County. In 2006, this freeway segment ranked as the most congested location in the Bay Area in the A.M. peak in the annual analysis conducted by the Metropolitan Transportation Commission. Given this level of traffic congestion along the Interstate 80 Corridor, the California Transportation Commission ranked the I-80 Integrated Corridor Mobility Project as one with the highest cost-benefit ratio submitted for the Bond Act consideration, with a return-on-investment of less than one year in transportation costs.
