HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 03272012 - C.03RECOMMENDATION(S):
APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Chair, Board of Supervisors, or designee, to execute
Amendment No. 4, to Agreement No. 208 with the Contra Costa Transportation Authority
(CCTA) to increase the maximum compensation paid to the County by $820,000 to a total
of $6,278,000, effective January 18, 2012, as recommended by the Public Works Director,
East County area. (Contra Costa Transportation Authority Funds) Project No. 4660-6X4168.
FISCAL IMPACT:
CCTA will pay the actual costs of right of way services performed by Real Property, up to
the payment limit, as amended.
BACKGROUND:
CCTA requires a variety of right of way services but has no right of way staff and has
contracted with the County for these services. On June 21, 2006 the Board approved the
original Agreement No. 208 for the State Route 4 East Widening Somersville Road to State
Route 160 project for right of way acquisition services. The parties now wish to modify the
scope of services to include additional right of way acquisition services for on-going
condemnation, problematic escrow situations, property management and demolition work,
