HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 03132012 - C.63RECOMMENDATION(S): Approve and authorize the Purchasing Agent, on behalf of Health Services Department, to execute a Purchase Order with Lecia Microsystems, Inc., in the amount of $320,875.03, for the Leica Bond Max IHC and ISH Staining System, a ST5020 Stainer and required reagents and supplies to perform immunohistochemical staining for the Pathology Department at Contra Costa Regional Medical Center and Contra Costa Health Centers, for period from December 15, 2011 through December 14, 2016. FISCAL IMPACT: 100% Enterprise Fund I. BACKGROUND: The Contra Costa Regional Medical Center and Contra Costa Health Centers Pathology Laboratory’s current Ventana Stainer is 9 years old, far beyond its life expectancy, and needs to be replaced. The new stainer will reduce turn-around time as well as reduces the cost of having to send blocks out to other laboratories for processing. The reagents and supplies are used to perform immunohistochemical staining on patient tissue samples. Purchase of the supplies and reagents will be on an as needed basis.
