HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 03132012 - C.56RECOMMENDATION(S): Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute, on behalf of the County, Contract Amendment Agreement #23-498-3 with Sarcom, Inc. (dba The Abreon Group), a corporation, effective January 1, 2012, to amend Contract #23-498 (as amended by #23-498-1 and #23-498-2), to increase the payment limit by $17,600, from $194,100 to a new payment limit of $211,700, with no change in the original term of August 15, 2011 through August 15, 2012. FISCAL IMPACT: This Contract is funded 100% by Medicare & Medicaid Electronic Health Records (EHR) Incentive Program of the American Recovery & Reinvestment Act (ARRA). (No Rate Increase) BACKGROUND: In August 2011, the County Administrator approved and the Purchasing Services Manager executed Contract #23-498 (as amended by Amendment Agreement #23-498-1 and #23-498-2) with Sarcom, Inc. (dba The Abreon Group) BACKGROUND: (CONT'D) for the provision of consultation and technical assistance to the Department with regard to development of a strategic communications plan for the Epic Electronic Health Record System. Approval of Contract Amendment Agreement #23-498-3 allows Contractor to provide additional consultation and technical assistance to the Department with regard to development of a strategic communications plan for the Epic Electronic Health Record System, through August 15, 2012. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: If this amendment is not approved, the Contractor will not be able to provide additional services with regard to implementation of the Epic Electronic Health Record System. CHILDREN'S IMPACT STATEMENT: Not applicable.
