HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 03132012 - C.50RECOMMENDATION(S): Approve and authorize the Purchasing Agent, on behalf of the Health Services Department, to execute a Purchase Order with Meditech Information Technology, Inc., in an amount not to exceed $165,000, for purchase of annual maintenance of the Healthcare Information System at Contra Costa Regional Medical Center and Contra Costa Health Centers, for the period from April 1, 2012 through March 31, 2013. FISCAL IMPACT: 100% Enterprise Fund I. BACKGROUND: Meditech Information Technology, Inc. is a mission critical application that is primarily used by a variety of Contra Costa Regional Medical Center and Contra Costa Health Centers staff in their daily clinical work. Contra Costa Health Services has purchased the following Meditech Modules to automate manual processes, document patient care and enhance patient safety: Laboratory, Microbiology, Pathology, Blood Bank, Order Entry, Patient Care inquiry, Pharmacy, Emergency Department, Patient Discharge Instructions, Data Repository, Materials Management, Magic Office and Order Entry.
