APPOINT the following individual to the Appointee 1 seat on the Kensington Municipal
Advisory Council (KMAC) to a term ending on 12/31/2015; DECLARE a vacancy of the
Alternate Seat 1 on the Kensington Municipal Advisory Council (KMAC) previously held
by this individual; and DIRECT the Clerk of the Board to post the vacancy, as
recommended by Supervisor Gioia:

Subject:Appoint Kim Zvik to the Appointee 1 Seat on the Kensington Municipal Advisory Council (KMAC) and
delcare the KMAC Alternate 1 Seat open.
BACKGROUND: (CONT'D)
affecting the Kensington community, such as land-use designations, master-plan
amendments, environmental-impact reports, negative declarations, and zoning-variance
applications. The KMAC shall also represent the community before the County Planning
Commission, the Zoning Administrator, and the County Board of Supervisors on such land
use, planning and zoning matters. It is understood that the Board of Supervisors is the final
decision making authority with respect to issues concerning the Kensington community and
that the KMAC shall serve solely in an advisory capacity. In addition, the KMAC may:
Advise the Board of Supervisors on local government services as requested by the Board:
provide input and reports to the Board, County staff or any County hearing body on issues
of concern to the community; serve as liaison between the community and the County
Supervisor representing Kensington.
Ms. Zvik informed Supervisor Gioia that she wishes to move from the Alternate 1 seat to
the open Appointee 1 seat on the Kensington Municipal Advisory Council (KMAC) and
Supervisor Gioia agrees with this change. The Appointee 1 seat was declared vacant on
2/28/2012.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
The seat remains unfilled.
