AUTHORIZE the Public Works Director, or designee, to advertise for On-Call Walking
Excavator Services Contract(s) for various road and flood control maintenance work, for
routine maintenance and repair of existing road pavement and flood control facilities,
Countywide. (100% Local Road and Flood Control Funds)
FISCAL IMPACT:
Work performed on this on-call contract will be funded by 100% Local Road and Flood
Control Funds.
BACKGROUND:
The Public Works Department uses On-Call Walking Excavator Services Contract(s) for
Various Road and Flood Control Maintenance Work to provide supplemental walking
excavator services as needed to Public Works Maintenance crews for routine road and flood
control maintenance and repairs in various locations within Contra Costa County.
The Public Works Department intends to award at least one $110,000 contract, but not more
than three $110,000 contracts, to the responsible bidder(s). Each contract will have a term of

Where walking excavator services are required, the Public Works Department may be
