Glover (ABSENT) DELIBERATION ITEMS D. 1 CONSIDER reports of Board members. Supervisor Mitchoff said the Internal Operations Committee chose to delay interviews of candidates for the At-Large position on the Redevelopment Oversight Board in hopes of receiving more applications. Supervisor Mitchoff requested the viewing public and press assist in relaying news of the position vacancy and encouraged people to apply. Supervisors Mitchoff, Gioia and Glover attended the legislative conference of the National Association of Counties (NACo) in Washington D.C.; additionally Supervisors Mitchoff and Glover met with representatives in Washington regarding an issue brought to the attention of the Board by County employee Bruce Stamm on the lack of available health care for veterans in the City of Martinez during evenings and weekends. Supervisor Piepho noted that cities also needed applicants for seats on the Redevelopment Oversight Board for the cities' successor agencies. Supervisor Gioia attended numerous meetings in Washington, including the NACo conference. Closed Session 1:30 P.M. ADJOURN to the Contra Costa County Housing Authority Meeting. 2:30 P.M.
