HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 03132012 - FPD SD.4RECOMMENDATION(S): ACCEPT an oral report regarding the status of a response submitted by the District to a Request for Proposals issued by the City of Pinole for the provision of fire protection and emergency medical services on a contractual basis. FISCAL IMPACT: None. This report is for informational purposes only. BACKGROUND: On September 15, 2011, the District received a request for proposal (RFP) to provide fire and EMS services to the City of Pinole. The RFP outlined the scope of work and service levels to be provided. On October 12, 2011, the District submitted a proposal based on a contract for services as opposed to a merger or Joint Powers Authority. On January 31, 2012, the City of Pinole held a workshop to discuss delivery of fire, emergency medical service, and fire prevention services for the City.
