HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 02282012 - C.52RECOMMENDATION(S): Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute, on behalf of the County, Contract Amendment Agreement #23-468-2 with J. Michael Rona Consulting, LLC (dba Rona Consulting Group), a limited liability company, effective October 1, 2011, to amend Contract #23-468 (as amended by Contract Amendment/Extension Agreement #23-468-1), to increase the Payment Limit by $165,000 from $345,000 to a new total Payment Limit of $510,000, with no change in the original term of March 23, 2010 through March 31, 2012. FISCAL IMPACT: This amendment reflects an increase of $165,000 and is funded 100% by Enterprise Fund I. No increase in rates. BACKGROUND: In May 2010, the County Administrator approved and the Purchasing Services Manager executed Contract #23-468 (as amended by Contract Amendment/Extension Agreement #23-468-1), with J. Michael Rona Consulting, LLC (dba Rona Consulting Group) technical assistance to Contra Costa BACKGROUND: (CONT'D) Regional Medical Center and Contra Costa Health Centers’ staff with regard to the Lean Improvement Project. Approval of Contract Amendment Agreement #23-468-2 will allow the Contractor to provide additional lean improvement services at Contra Costa Regional Medical Center and Contra Costa Health Centers through March 31, 2012. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: If this amendment is not approved, County will not be able to improve on its lean efforts at Contra Costa Regional Medical Center and benefit from Contractors’ services.
