HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 02282012 - C.45RECOMMENDATION(S): APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Sheriff-Coroner, or designee, to execute a contract with the City of Pittsburg, including mutual indemnification, to pay the County an amount not to exceed $1,750,000 to provide police dispatching services for the period January 1, 2012 through December 31, 2017. FISCAL IMPACT: No Net County Cost. $1,750,000 revenue over seven years. BACKGROUND: The Office of the Sheriff will provide police dispatching services, limited to law enforcement activity for the City of Pittsburg. Services will include dispatching, call-taking, sending and receiving voice and data traffic, answering emergency (911) calls and warrant checks to aid the the city's Police Department.
