HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 01172012 - C.25RECOMMENDATION(S): APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Purchasing Agent to execute a purchase order with CompuCom Systems, Inc., on behalf of the Employment and Human Services Department, Information Technology Unit, in the amount not to exceed $556,400 for the fifth installment of the Microsoft Enterprise Agreement Renewal for the period January 1, 2012 to December 31, 2012. FISCAL IMPACT: $556,400: 3% County Funding; 97% State Funding BACKGROUND: The Employment and Human Services Department, Information Technology Unit (IT), purchases the license to use Microsoft software to operate department computer systems. This renewal is necessary for the department to continue using Microsoft software. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: Employment and Human Services Departments will be unable to legally use Microsoft software on its computer equipment. CHILDREN'S IMPACT STATEMENT: None
