HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 02142012 - C.40RECOMMENDATION(S): Approve and authorize the Purchasing Agent, on behalf of the Health Services Department to execute a change order to Purchase Order #34910 with Olympus America, Inc., in the amount of $115,000 for a new total of $260,915.44 for the two year period ending November 14, 2012, for the service and repair of 32 GI flexible endoscopes at Contra Costa Regional Medical Center. FISCAL IMPACT: 100% Enterprise Fund I. BACKGROUND: Contra Costa Regional Medical Center’s GI Flexible endoscopes are expensive to purchase and expensive to repair and maintain. We entered into a fully capitated maintenance contract with the manufacturer, Olympus America, Inc. to reduce the high cost of repairs of these devices. The original purchase order covered 16 endoscopes. Due to an increase in service volume we purchased an additional 16 endoscopes that also require maintenance and repair.
